Gold at new peak, silver falls

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Prices of spot gold rose to a new peak while silver declined in the closing session today, traders at the bullion market said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 21,420 (21,495), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,385 (10,265), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,440 (10,315).
