Cong-led front heading to form govt in Pondy
Pondicherry, May 11: The Congress-led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) is slowly heading towards forming the next government in the Union Terrtiory.
The Congress-led front bagged 11 out of the 18 seats declared so far.
While the Congress won six seats, the DMK (four), PMK (one).
DMK convener and former Chief Minister R V Janakiraman, who never tasted defeat at the hustings in his last five elections suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Om Sakthi Sekar at Nellithoppu.
Deputy Sepaker A V Subramanian, another notable candidate who contested for the AIADMK-led front was defeated.
AIADMK won four seats and PMC three.
