Chargesheet against rape case accused

Ajmer, May 11: The police have filed chargesheets against five accused in the Japanese tourist rape case that occured in the holy city of Pushkar more than a month ago.

After the case came to light on April 17, the police filed chargesheet yesterday against the main accused and hotel manager Babloo accusing him of rape and duping the tourist of her money.

The other accused Babloo's mother Roshni, brother Raju and friend Shahid and Sanjay have been accused of cooperating in the crime.

The judicial magistrate has transfered the case to Ajmer's District and Sessions court for regular hearings. All the accused are currently lodged in jail.

The victim had accused Babloo of rape and cheating her of all her money on April 17 by sending a fax from Agra to police superintendent of Ajmer.

The police arrested the accused on the basis of her complaints and lodged cases against them.

The victim is said to be in the safe custody of Ajmer police.
