Asian Developmnt Bank lauds AP CM

Hyderabad, May 11 (UNI) The Asian Development Bank commended the dynamic leadership of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, for successfully hosting the 39th Annual General Body meeting of its Board of Governors at Hyderabad recently.

In a letter addressed to Dr Reddy, Ashok Saikia, Executive Director, ADB for India, from his Camp Office in London, expressed his satisfaction for successfully hosting the event.

The Chief Minister said that many landmark events in the city, including the ADB meet, would showcase the improved infrastructure and progressive atmosphere in the State to the entrepreneurs abroad.

It is essential to increase the employment opportunities, to reduce the economic instability and to establish peace in the society, especially in villages, he said.

Our main objective is to strive for achieving qualitative change in living standards both in rural and urban areas, and to increase in productivity and effective delivery of services with world-class standards, he added.

Dr Reddy said that efficiency in quality management, and executive capability, coupled with development of human resources in maintaining high standards in productivity will be the key factors of success in achieving transformation to suit the needs of the new Millennium, according to official release.
