Another Mah minister issued notice by SC

new DELHI, May 11 (UNI) Close on the heels of Maharashtra Transport minister's conviction along with state additional chief secretary for contwempt of the Supreme Court, today it was turn of Maharashtra minister for Food and civil supplies Sunil Tatkare to whom the apex court issued contempt of court notice.

Tatkare as State Urban Development minister flouted the apex court orders issued in 2004 directing him to review the case of encroachment on green belt area by a group housing society and made a false statement in this court that he had reviewed the case.

Naolekar today issued notices to the alleged contemner on a petition filed by one Surender Sapan Rao Borevake against the Bombay high court judgment dismissing his contempt of court petition against the minister.

Samata Nagrik Group Co-operative Society headed by Datta Sahib Kolke was accused of encroaching upon land in green belt area of Coper Gah in the state.

The case shall come up for hearing in July after summer vacations.
