AISSF factions to forge unity

Jalandhar, May 11 (UNI) In a bid to further ongoing efforts of bringing unity among various All India Sikh Student Fedration (AISSF) factions, a presidium and adhoc unity committee have been constituted.

Talking to reporters here, today federation leaders Dr Bhagwan Singh and Sarbjit Singh Sohal said that Bhai Karnail Singh Peermohmad would be the convenor and Bhai Manjit Singh Bhoma would function as the spokesman.

Besides, seven member presidium, a 11 members adhoc committee, 6 member advisory committee, 5 member overseas advisory committee and nine member political wing had also been constituted.

The meeting of presidium, adhoc committee, and advisory committees would be held on May 16 in Amritsar to discuss the programme to mark the anniversary of the operation blue star on June 6.

The full organisational set up of the unified federation is also likely to be announced on May 20.

The federation also aimed at the floating of political party in Punjab on the lines of Assom Gan Parishad, they added.
