UP Ranji player excels in county cricket

Lucknow, May 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Ranji cricketer and former skipper Jyoti Yadav has given excellent performance in preliminary round of county cricket matches in England.

Jyoti, who is playing for Evenhood Cricket Club in Durham County Cricket League, scored an average of over 55 runs in four matches and took eight wickets. This is his second stint with the Club.

He had made 84 runs and taken 3 wickets in the match against Kimbleworth on May 1. However, his team lost the match.

Repeating the same feat on May 6, Jyoti made 80 runs and took 3 wickets against Etherlet. While in the first match on April 22, he made 62 runs and took 2 wickets agaisnt Ushawmoor Cricket Team.

Jyoti had also performed well in the Ranji one-day matches and the UP team was runners-up in the championship.
