Two awarded capital punishment in Bihar
Katihar, May 10 (UNI) A local court today awarded capital punishment to two accused while as many were sentenced to life imprisonment in connection with a murder case.
Additional District Judge Ravindra Prakash read out the sentence to the accused after hearing the arguments of both sides.
Those awarded capital punishment were Sintu Kumar Singh and Diwakar Mehta. Those sentenced to life imprisonment were Vikash Kumar Singh and Pankaj Kumar Singh.
All the accused were charged with kidnapping and subsequently murdering a school student Mohit Kataruka of Katihar in 2002. An FIR had been lodged with Korha police station of the Katihar district in this connection.
