Twin blasts in Bhilwara, one killed

Bhilwara, May 10 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured in simultaneous blasts in a van and a store, where explosives were stocked, near here today.

Additional superintendent of police Om Prakash Sharma said the explosion occurred in Jitiyakhedi village, about 10 km from Bhilwara, at around 0730 hrs in the morning. The first explosion occurred in the explosive-laden van, which probably triggered the second blast in the store stocked with the explosives.

The van driver, Aashir Bairwa, died on the spot.

A temple, situated three km away from the blast site, was partially damaged by the impact of the blast. The explosion was heard from a distance of 10 km.

Police have lodged a case under Section 304 under the Explosives Act.
