Statement of main accused recorded in Sashinath Jha murder case

New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) A local court today recorded the statement of Nand Kishore Mehta, the main accused in the Sashinath Jha murder case.

Mehta was accused of killing Jha, private secretary to Union Coal Minister Shibu Soren, with an iron rod.

The statements of Mr Soren, Ashish Thakur and P N Mahto had already been recorded in the case earlier.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge B R Kedia fixed May 30, May 31 and June 1 as the next dates for hearing and recording statements of three other accused.
