Pakistan rebuffs Pranab Mukherjee's allegations
Islamabad, May 10: Rubbishing the allegation by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee over the presence of terrorist training camps in Pakistan, Islamabad has asserted that it was sincerely fighting terrorism as part of a global coalition.
Terming the allegation ''totally baseless'', Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam yesterday said, ''Pakistan is, in fact, fighting terrorism as part of international coalition and this role is recognised by the comity of nations.'' Mr Mukherjee, while addressing mediapersons at the Jammu Air Force Station yesterday, had said despite assurances from Islamabad, at least 59 terrorist camps were still operating in different parts of Pakistan, including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
