NPF claims DAN govt is stable
Kohima, May 10 (UNI) The Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF), the major coalition partner of the ruling 'Democratic Alliance of Nagaland' (DAN), has claimed that there is no dissidence in the NPF and the government was stable enough to complete its full term.
In a release here today, NPF Press Secretary R Paphino said there were rumours that a section of NPF legislators wanted a change of leadership, specially when Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is presently visiting Israel, where he is supposed to address the Agritech 2006 Conference at Tel Aviv today.
Accepting that dissident activities are prevailing everywhere, including Congress and other parties in Nagaland, Mr Paphino said, '' This publicity stunt device did not mean anything to us and marginal and isolated cases would not cause the downfall of the 'DAN' government and effect a change in its leadership.
