KLNLF cadres surrender

Guwahati, May 10 (UNI) Two KLNLF militants have surrendered before the Army in Diphu in Karbi Anglong district of the state.

A release said here today self-styled corporal Kolam Sing Engti and Babu Ram Teron laid down their arms yesterday before Col Niranjan Kumar, Commnding Officer, 11th Jammu and Kashmir Rifles.

They also deposited two firearms and several rounds of ammunition.

The commanding officer of 8 Madras Regiment, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of the district were present on the occasion.

The ultras were later handed over to the police.
