BJP has no alternative to Pramod Mahajan: Vajpayee

New Delhi, May 10: Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today said that there was no alternative to BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan who passed away on May 3.

Talking to newspersons, Mr Vajpayee agreed with a questioner that the BJP needs a Lakshman to fill the gap created by the death of Mr Mahajan.

Mr Vajpayee had described Mr Mahajan as "Lakshman" and Mr Advani as "Ram" at a public meeting in Mumbai organised on the occasion of the party's Silver Jubilee Celebrations in December last.
