Mumbai, May 10 (UNI) A petition challenging the transfer of Assistant Police Commissioner Sudhakar Pujari of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), who was conducting probe into the multi-crore Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) scam involving several police officials and bureaucrats, was filed in the Bombay High Court here today.

On this, Vacation Judge R S Dalvi directed the Maharashtra Government to file its reply till May 12, which was filed by city-based Advocate Varsha Sawant. She alleged that the transfer of ACP Pujari was with malafied intention. Also, it was in violation of earlier High Court directive, which had given Pujari a free hand for conducting the probe till its conclusion without any interference.

It was alleged that the investigation was still on and Pujari's transfer in the midst of the probe would give a wrong signal to the public at large. Therefore, in the interest of fair and impartial investigation of the scam, his transfer should be stayed.
