6 killed in UP road mishap

Lucknow, May 10 (UNI) At least six people were killed and as many injured when a Utility Vehicle (UV) collided head-on with a roadways bus in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Police said here the accident occurred at village Mahagatpur when the ill-fated UV enroute to Buasagar collided with the bus coming from Mauranipur. All the six died on the spot.

The injured were later rushed to hospital, where condition of three was stated critical.

A case had been registered. The bus driver was absconding.
