100 scientists to attend national workshop

Kozhikode, May 10 (UNI) As many as 100 scientists from 15 state agricultural universities and various spices and horticulture departments would participate in a national group meeting of spices research workers beginning here on May 25.

Representatives of National Research Centre on Seed Spices in Rajasthan and officials from ICAR, New Delhi are also expected to attend the three-day meeting organised by the Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), Calicut under the auspices of ICAR, a release here yesterday said.

ICAR Deputy Director General (Hort) G Kalloo will preside over the inaugural function on May 25, it said.

The meet will deliberate in detail research results from 100 research projects of the mandated crops with more than 200 presentations covering 12 crops from 19 coordinating centres.
