UDF ditched DIC(K), says breakaway group
Kochi, May 9 (UNI) The breakaway group of the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) today accused the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) of ditching the top DIC(K) leaders by plotting their possible failure in the just-concluded Assembly elections.
Breakaway group vice-chairman P M Joy, at a press conference alleged that the Congress conspired against all DIC(K) candidates including its president K Muraleedharan and M P Gangadharan.
The party was formed after Mr Karunakaran entered into electoral alliance with the UDF.
Citing reports which predicted victory of the UDF and defeat for the DIC(K) candidates, he said it indicated the indignation of the party workers over the volte face by Karunakaran.
