Two awarded life imprisonment

Kishanganj, May 9 (UNI) A local court today awarded life imprisonment to two criminals in connection with a dacoity and murder case.

Additional District Judge of fast track court Gobind Prasad Singh awarded the life imprisonment after hearing arguments of both the prosecution and the accused.

According to prosecution, both the accused Rasiuddin and Lal Mohammad were charged with committing dacoity after killing the house owner at Birbari village under Thakurganj Police station of Kishanganj district on January 19, 2004.

The accused had lobbed bombs at the residence of Gopal Chandra Das killing him on the spot and subsequently looted the valuables and fled away.
