Tourists stranded in Gulmarg as bridge collapses
Srinagar, May 9 (UNI) The world famous ski resort of Gulmarg in Kashmir was today cut off from the rest of the country after a bridge collapsed at Kunzer, about 25 km from here.
Official sources said a portion of the bridge over a river stream collapsed today forcing the closure of the 45-km Srinagar-Tangmarg- Gulmarg road.
Thousands of tourists have been stranded at Gulmarg and Tangmarg resorts following the closure of the road.
However, the sources said some vehicles were diverted from an alternative route via Pattan.
