Sharekhan opens 3 branches in Bangalore

Bangalore, May 9 (UNI) Sharekhan Ltd, one of the top retail brokerage houses in India with a strong online trading platform, today announced the opening of three new branches here, expanding its presence in the city to 27 outlets.

The three new branches were located at Indiranagar, Malleshwaram and Koramangala in the city. The company's existing ground network boasted of 102 branches and 327 franchisees across 150 cities in the country, a company release here said.

''The launch of three new branches in Bangalore is in line with Sharekhan's expansion plans in India. Given Bangalore's burgeoning middle class population, spurt in urban consumption and increased dispensable income, we envisage tremendous growth in online share trading in the city. We expect Bangalore to be a key city for the company's growth in South,'' its Bangalore Branch Head Channaraj said.

In the backdrop of the IT and ITeS boom in the city, online trading too had got a big boost as more and more software and call centre professionals were turning first time investors.

Sharekhan offered execution of trades on BSE and NSE terminals for cash market and derivatives, depository services, personalised investment advice, Mutual Funds and Internet trading.
