Polling officer missing

Siliguri, May 9 (UNI) The polling officer for Phansidewa Assembly constituency in the last phase poll of West Bengal assembly election was reportedly missing since this morning.

During the polls yesterday, Ratan Chetri was taken ill and was admitted to North Bengal Medical college. Today, in the morning when the doctor went to see him he was missing.

The Medical college authority has lodged a camplaint with Matigara Police Station.

Additional Superintendent of police Kallol Ganai told UNI the investigation are underway. He said the missing person was a resident of Kalimpong.

However, district Magistrate Ariz Aftab said he was a not aware of the incident.
