One sentenced to life in murder case

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a man to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on him in connection with the murder of his friend.

Additional Sessions Judge R P S Teji passed the order against Arjun Dhimre, who had killed his friend Anil Jat following an argument on February 17, 2000, in the Sadar Bazaar area.

In all, 18 witnesses were examined during the trial.
