Lifer for murdering cousin

Patna, May 9 (UNI) A sessions court has awarded life imprisonment to a man for killing his cousin, besides slapping Rs 20,000 as fine.

Patna Additional District and Sessions Judge Jayant Kumar Sen found Bijay Shankar Pandey guilty of killing Mithilesh Kumar, the convict's cousin.

The judge, however, acquitted Balkrishana Pandey, the uncle of the victim.

According to the charges, victim Mithilesh Kumar was shot dead by Pandey under Gourichack police station area of Patna district in 2000. The reason behind the killing was said to be an old dispute of ancestral property.
