Finacle Certified for Solaris 10 Operating System

Bangalore, May 9: Sun Microsystems today announced the successful testing and certification of the latest version of Finacle, Infosys Technologies' popular core banking solution, on the world's most advanced operating system, Solaris 10.

Global banking and finance IT infrastructure buyers could now have robust operating platform support and the highest levels of security, essential for core banking solutions with the successful completion of testing and certification, Sun Microsystems said in a release here.

Finacle, the universal banking solution was designed to address the retail, corporate and universal banking requirements of banks across the globe. Offering several powerful and differentiating features, Finacle was one of the most comprehensive, flexible and scalable solutions in its class and had been widely adopted on the Sun platform by some of the world's leading banks including ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, Credit Suisse Financial Services and National Commercial Bank Jamaica.

In addition to its advanced security features and acclaimed stability, Solaris 10 would also deliver a feature rich solution set for mission critical application deployment in the core banking space the release said.
