Dharni P Sinha passes away
Hyderabad, May 9 (UNI) Dharni P Sinha, Chairman of COSMODE, the Consortium for Strategic Management and Organisation Development here, died in Patna today.
Dr Sinha, who was in Patna on a personal visit, developed cardiac complications and passed away there, according to a COSMODE release.
A pioneer in the field of Behavioural Sciences in India, he made outstanding contributions in the field of management education and management development in South Asia. Having taught in the US and Australia for a decade, Dr Sinha joined the Faculty of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, in the mid-sixties and then moved to the Administrative Staff College of India in 1975, where he served as its Director and Principal for over a decade.
He later joined the United Nations as Adviser to Nepal.
Dr Sinha received his PhD from Southern Illinois University and has been the recipient of many national and international awards.
He has researched and published widely, authored and edited 15 books and over a 100 papers in international journals.
