Day temperatures soar all over India
Pune, May 9 (UNI) Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in northwest Rajasthan. Heat wave conditions also prevailed in east Rajasthan, Vidarbha and in some parts of Madhya Pradesh and at isoated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab.
Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and appreciably above normal in some parts of coastal Orissa, north Konkan, north madhya Maharshtra, Rayalseema, coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Marathwada, north Chattisgarh, Telangana, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and below normal in some parts of interior Orissa, south Chattisgarh and Telangana. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over south Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in West Bengal and Sikkim and coastal Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Rayalseema and at few places in Orissa, Haryana, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
