CPI leader goes online

Hyderabad, May 9 (UNI) Parliamentary Committee on Labour Chairman Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy of the CPI today launched an interactive website, said to be first-ever by any MP in the country, to get closer to people.

''My speeches and questions in Parliament, media interactions, including press releases and interviews will be regularly posted on www.suravaramsudhakarreddy.com, designed by V-empower solutions P Ltd, involved in development of web strategies,'' he told newsmen here.

''The fact that currenty he is the first MP to make an interactive website to empower the people of the constituency makes him unique among his peers,'' Company Chief Operating Officer Hannan Ahmed said, adding the site was designed to enable common man to interact with the MP through SMS.

A provision for feedback, email alerts and survey taking were the salient features of the website. The company had designed and developed websites for more than 100 politicians in the USA and now it got an opportunity to work for Indian Parliamentarians, V-empower Vice President Saud Khan informed saying ''we wish to repeat the success in India.''
