Couple, child killed in road accident

Anand, May 9 (UNI) A young couple and their two-year-old son were killed when their motorcycle collided head-on with a van near Rampur on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara highway today.

Police said the child, Kavya, was killed on the spot while his parents - Amit Patel and Yogini - succumbed to their injuries in the Karamsad hospital near Nadiad.

Amit, who ran a photo printing shop at Sidpur, was going with his family to Vadodara on his motorcycle when the accident occurred at around 1000 hrs.

However, none of the passengers in the van suffered any injury while its driver fled from the scene, police said.
