BJP will support Telangana the moment Cong introduces Bill
Hyderabad, May 9 (UNI) BJP national spokesperson and additional in charge of Andhra Pradesh, Prakash Javadekar, today accused the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samiti of betraying the people of Telangana, and promised that the BJP would support statehood if the UPA government introduced a Bill in Parliament.
Mr Prakash, who was in Hyderabad to participate in the meeting of BJP state office bearers today, interacted with the media. The Congress-TRS government in AP would be completing two years in office on May 14. ''Both came to power assuring Telangana. Till now there is no trace of Telangana. They betrayed the people and also farmers, whose suicides still continue in the state,'' he alleged.
In the extended budget session, if UPA government introduced the Bill, the BJP would definitely support it.
BJP State President N Indrasena Reddy said they would organise a dharna on May 18 here pressing for Telangana. All state and district BJP leaders would participate.
Further, Mr Reddy said the BJP state executive meeting would be held on May 17 and BJP National General Secretary Sanjay Joshi, BJP National Membership in charge Om Prakash Kohli and BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar would participate in it.
