BJP executive postponed to May 29 and 30
New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) The national executive of the BJP has been postponed to May 29 and 30 in Delhi instead of May 27 and 28, party sources said today.
The executive to be presided by BJP President Rajnath Singh has been postponed twice eversince it was scheduled to be held at Ludhiana from May 25 to 27. The last executive was scheduled to be held at Guwahati also stood cancelled as assembly election dates for Asom had been announced.
The issues that are likely to figure in the meeting include outcome of the elections in the states of Asom, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala, reservation for backward classes in professional colleges, price rise and import policy of the government which were affecting not just the farmers but also consumers.
The party will also pay tribue to its General Secretary Pramod Mahajan who was a strong pillar of the party and the man who could claim credit for the successful conduct of the Mumbai National Executive and Plenary in December last.
