Arrangements complete for counting
Thiruvananthapuram, May 9: All arrangements have been made for the counting of votes for Kerala assembly elections, Chief Electoral Officer Nalini Netto said today.
The counting would begin at 124 places at 0800 hrs on May 11 for the 140 Assembly seats and the postal ballots would be counted first followed by the EVM, she told reporters here.
The Election Commission had taken all steps to announce the results at the earliest. It has also arranged 15 channels for the visual media, besides providing latest results on the internet, including trends, she added.
Ms Netto said the EC had not received any written complaints against the candidates or Election Observers.
The trends would be made available within two hours of after the counting of votes begins. The public would get a clear picture about the winners by 1100 Hrs, she added.
