4-day Utsav in Tirupati

Tirupati, May 9 (UNI) Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) will conduct a 4-day Tirupati Utsav from May 28-31 to give the present generation exposure on the significance of the temple town.

In this connection, the festival committee comprising TUDA Chairman and convenor B Karunakar Reddy yesterday said a quiz and painting competition would be conducted at the TTD's Mahati Auditorium on May 14, while the next day, octogenarians of the town would recall their experiences at a programme 'Naati Tirupati'.

On May 17, poetry and essay competitions would be held, while May 20 renowned poets of the state would take part in a 'kavi sammelan.' Educationalists and litterateurs would take out a procession to stress the need for spiritual awakening in the temple town on May 26.
