1000 huts gutted in TN

Podukkottai, Tamil Nadu, May 9 (UNI) More than 1000 huts were gutted in a devastating fire in the coastal village of Jegadhapattinam here this morning.

The district special branch police said the flames, fanned by strong winds, spread very fast and engulfed a vast area destroying property worth several lakh. However, on one was injured.
