Writ against Sonia dismissed

Lucknow, May 8 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today dismissed a writ petition that alleged Congress president Sonia Gandhi had concealed details about her religion, nationality and educational qualification in her nomination papers.

Ms Gandhi is seeking a re-election to Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat, for which went to polls today.

The writ petition was filed by Ravindrakant Khare.

A division bench comprising Justice Jagdish Bhalla and Justice B B Agarwal dismissed the petition after hearing the case.
