Trader threatens self-immolation before CMR
Hajipur, May 08 (UNI) Vice-President of Bihar Traders Sangharsh Front Satish Kumar Jaiswal today threatened to immolate himself before the residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on May 10 in case abducted trader Fakrul Islam was not rescued till then.
In a release here, Mr Jaiswal said the abducted businessman was not rescued despite an assurance by the Chief Minister. On behalf of the front, he also demanded immediate removal of Superintendent of Police of Vaishali, Ms Preeta Verma, as crime had registered a 'steep hike' and the law and order situation had 'deteriorated' in the district during her regime.
Earlier, the district unit of the front staged a day-long dharna in support of their demands for immediate rescue of the abducted trader and removal of Ms Verma.
