Three rob 42 lakh from Vikaspuri bank
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Three men looted a bank of more than Rs 40 lakh in Vikaspuri area of West Delhi this afternoon.
The accused allegedly entered the Unit Trust of India (UTI) Bank in Vikaspuri's 'J' Block at about 1230 hrs and asked the manager to hand over the cash, according to police sources.
One of the robbers told the manager that explosives were tied to his body and he would blow up the bank if he tried to ''act funny''.
Following the threat, the manager asked the cashier to hand over the available cash, amounting to Rs 42 lakh.
Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and efforts are on to nab the culprits.
