Tendulkar completes 'Sarpa Dosha' rituals
Subramanya, Karnataka, May 8 (UNI) Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar today completed performing certain rituals and poojas at the famous Sri Kukke Subramanya temple here to overcome 'Sarpa Dosha' in his horoscope.
The ace cricketer, who came here on Saturday night along with his family members including his wife Dr Anjali Tendulkar, today offered 'Go Pooja' (worshipping of cow), 'Pinda Prachaana', 'Naga Pratishta' (installation of serpent stone statue) and 'Bramhachari Araadhana' as part of 'Sarpa Samskara'.
According to temple sources, the Mumbai batsman, on the advice of his family's close confidante, visited the famous shrine to perform Sarpa Samskara and Naga Pratishta rituals for his well being and to better his career prospects, besides removal of 'Sarpa Dosha'.
During his two-day stay, Sri Vidyaprasanna Thirtha Swamiji of Sri Subramanya Mutt here honoured Tendulkar and explained to him the glory of the temple.
Tendulkar and his family members preferred to stay closeted in the guest house after conducting the poojas and chose not to interact with the media. Later, he left for his home town Mumbai.
Draped in traditional attire, Tendulkar had performed 'Ashlesha Bali' and 'Sarpa Samskara' at the temple yesterday also. He had also offered prayers at Dharmasthala in Dakshina Kannada district.
