Sanghi finishes 18th in World Cup Skeet
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Amit Sanghi shot a poor 116 and finished 18th as none of the three Indians could make it to the final of the men's Skeet event at the ISSF World Cup at Kerrville, USA.
Sanghi shot a series of 21, 23, 23, 25 and 24 to total 116 and that was not enough to open the door for the final for the Indian.
Among his compatriots, Mairaj Ahmad Khan finished way down at 71 after scoring 104 (23, 19, 20, 22, 20) while Amardeep Singh Rai totalled 103 (9, 21, 20, 23, 20) for the 75th place.
Italian shooter ennio Falco bagged the gold shooting 146 (121+25), while Norwegian marksman Tore Brovold pipped Denmark's Michael Nielsen to win the silver -- according to information received here today.
Both Brovold and Nielsen totalled 120 in the preliminary and shot 25 in the finals to total 145 but in the final shoot-off, it was the Norwegian who shot 10 for silver while Nielsen shot eight to finish with the bronze.
