Hyderabad, May 8: Intoto, India R&D teams in Hyderabad and Chennai have jointly developed the next generation Unified Threat Management(UTM) solution, iGateway EX UTM, which integrates key technologies critical for networking OEMs building enterprise-class UTM solution for Network Security delivering comprehensive, integrated security in single platform.

The iGateway EX UTM solution supports new and advanced hardware architectures and products including multicore processors as well as content inspection accelerators. The iGateway UTM platform also included ICSA Labs certified Firewall and VPN functions.

Its UTM technologies included IntruPro Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), new network-based anti-virus and anti-spam technology, VPN, Firewall, and the latest Secured Socket Layer (SSL)-VPN application. Its gateway anti-virus and anti-spam technology is an open and flexible solution, allowing for the support of third party scan engines and signature databases.

The UTM solution also incorporates networking technologies such as Load balancing, Fail-Over, QoS/Traffic Management and Virtualisation, a company release here said today.

IDC predicts that, by 2009, UTM will become the single largest market segment within network security-growing to USD 2.4 billion and surpassing even firewall appliances, the release added.
