Goa exploring public-private partnership for progress: Rane
Panaji, May 8 (UNI) Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane has said Goa is exploring possibilities for widening the scope of private-public-partnership to meet the growing developmental needs of the state.
Inaugurating the Centrally-sponsored Centre of Excellence and Hospitality Management Course at the Industrial Training Institute at Altinho in the capital today, Mr Rane said such PPP would help promote various sectors including tourism in a big way.
Tourism, he said, had a tremendous growth potential with Goa already receiving over 14 lakh tourists. The sector could further be exploited through PPP by roping in the private sector, both for capital and human resources.
Minister for Craftsmen Training Subhash Shirodkar, who presided over the function, had urged the Chief Minister to increase the seating capacity of the ITIs in Goa to accommodate more aspsirants.
