CPI(M) candidate allegedly manhandled by security force
Balurghat, W Bengal, May 18 (UNI) CPI(M) candidate Narayan Biswas today alleged that he was manhandled and prevented from entering a booth by central para military force jawans during the fifth and final phase of polling.
Mr Biswas, a former Minister, said in a written complaint with the Sub-Divisional Officer that the incident took place when he tried to enter booth number 134 of Gangarampur constituency from where he was seeking reelection.
He alleged that he was manhandled and denied entry even after he introduced himself as a candidate and the presiding officer requested the security force personnel to let him in.
