Airbus begins training programme with Indigo

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Indigo Airlines that plans to start domestic operations by July and aircraft manufacturer Airbus, today inaugurated an Active Learning and Competence focused training (AACT) here.

The programme combines a traditional classroom setting with computers, allowing maintenance engineers to train, virtually using aircraft simulation type software. It equips engineers with the latest training tools and methodologies and allows them to adapt training to new aircraft technologies and maintenance practices.

It stimulates an entire aircraft including the cockpit in two or three dimensional versions and conforms with up-to-date aircraft maintenance practices.

''Indi go is an airline that differentiates itself on its technology practices and this is just one of our pioneering initiatives that will bring real benefits to our customers and employees,'' said its president and CEO Bruce Ashby.
