Agricultural Officer convicted in ACB case
Hyderabad, May 8 (UNI) A local court here today sentenced B Singa Reddy, a state government official in Nalgonda district to two years rigorous imprisonment (RI) on corruption offences.
The Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad, sentenced Mr Reddy to pay a fine of Rs 2000 and in default to undergo six months imprisonment.
Mr Reddy was trapped on May 5, 2001 by ACB sleuths when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 5,000 from the proprietor of Rythu Mithra Agencies, Kodad, for not foisting cases against them, an ACB release here today said.
