Kamargunj BDO missing

Balurghat, May 7 (UNI) Block Development Officer of Kumarganj in South Dinajpur district has gone missing since last night.

District Magistrate Syed Sarfaraj Ahamed said a complaint has been lodged at Kumarganj Police Station.

He said the Election Observer and the Election Commission would also be informed as the district goes for polls in the final phase tomorrow.

BDO Ananda Mohan Sarkar reportedly relieved his vehicle driver at Patiram by saying that he would go to Gangarampur for an urgent meeting.

Mr Sarkar, who hailed from Kaliachak in Malda district, could not be traced in his native place. His family members also could not inform about his whereabouts.
