India stands fair in breastfeeding programme

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) India has done fairly well on breastfeeding programme and policy, according to a report titled State of World's Breastfeeding: India 2005, released here.

The report card shows what progress India has made on implementing the global strategy for Infant and young Child Feeding.

It provides a quick visualising on where India stands on each indicator used to assess the policy and programme as well as the resultant practice.
