Charlotte, May 7 (UNI) Daniel Chopra could not arrest the slide and played his worst round of the week as his three-over 72 saw the Indian-born Swede languishing at tied 64th after the penultimate round of the Wachovia Championship here.

The former Asian Tour regular started with an even-par show, went two over in the second round and slipped further as he returned an erratic card of 75 in the third round.

Starting on the back nine, Chopra fired a trio of birdies but as many bogeys in the last five holes undid the good work.

Worst followed on his way back as he managed just one birdie on the seventh but bogeys on the first and third and a double bogey on the final hole marred his show.

At the top of the table, Jim Furyk remains in hunt for his 11th PGA Tour title after edging one shot clear at Quail Hollow Club with a four-under 68 that took his three-day tally to 11-under 205.

South African duo of Retief Goosen and Trevor Immelman breathe down Furyk's neck, just one stroke adrift the lead.
