7 die in jeep collision

Shivpuri, MP, May 7 (UNI) Seven people, including four of a family, died today and three were injured when two jeeps collided head on in this district's Karaira area, police said.

Four persons -- Hukum Singh Tomar (62), Kaushal (62), Shailendra Singh (24) and Harshita -- died on the spot, while Ranjit and one other succumbed to their injuries in hospital.

The body of a jeep driver was recovered later.

The injured were admitted to hospital.

The corpses have been sent to hospital for autopsy.
