400 KV sub-station in each district: YSR
Hyderabad, May 07 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the state was planning to install one 400 KV sub-station in each district for reliable supply of quality power.
According to an official release here today, Dr Reddy will lay the foundation stone for a 400 KV sub- station at Gajwel in Medak District on May nine.
It said Dr Reddy had given clear instructions to AP Transco officials to concentrate on rural electrication and ensure maximum number of households were electrified in five years.
The state planned to invest Rs 11,487 crore between 2004-05 and 2008-09 on transmission and distribution network to improve the quality of the power supplied.
AP Transco had envisaged an investment of more than Rs 7,762 crore in the next three years for further improving the transmission and distribution network for meeting the increasing rural demand.
The company is also focusing on creating a 400 KV associated network in each district.
