Two dreaded terrorists surrendered in Doda
Doda, May 6(uni) Two dreaded terrorists of Harkar-Ul-Jehadi-Islami (HUJI) surrendered with their arms and ammunition before the security forces here today.
Police sources told UNI that one of surrendered terrorists was district commander Abdulgani Mir alias Khlifa and other one was area commander Gulam Moideen alias Abu Baqar. Both were the resident of Kwshwan village of the district.
The sources said that Mir had crossed over to Pak occipied Kashmir (PoK) in 1998 and obtained arms training in mansera camp.
Immediate after the training, he returned to valley and was active in militancy in the district, while the moideen was active in the Kishtwar area since last two years.
They handed over a large number of arms to security forces which include one pika gun with 300 rounds, two ak 47 rifles with 150 rounds, eight magzines, one slr, one ubgl and one cup, nine ubgl shell, 36 grenades, eight detonators, two anti-personnel mines and one radio set.
Meanwhile security forces rescued two persons from the militants of Jaish-E-Mohammed today morning. They were indentified as Manzoor Ahmed and Jaffar Iqbal.
